Rebecca Smith has worked internationally in early childhood and elementary settings with experience in the Australian curriculum, PYP framework and the Reggio Emilia Inspired Approach. Rebecca is a Level 3 qualified Forest School practitioner and is committed to encouraging children to experience time in the outdoors environment. Rebecca currently works as a 4-5 year old teacher at The Inter Community School Zurich, Switzerland.

Janet Rose

Janet Rose

Dr Janet Rose is currently Principal of Norland College, a specialist education and training college for early years practitioners. She is a former Reader in Education (Associate Professor) and has led various early years degree programmes at several universities. She has worked closely with the National College of Teaching and Learning and has presented her research at the House of Lords and the House of Commons. Janet is the author of numerous publications, including co-authoring a book on The Role of the Adult in Early Years Settings and one on Health and Well-being in Early Childhood.

Iram Siraj

Iram Siraj

Iram Siraj is Professor of ECE at the Institute of Education, University of London and the University of Wollongong in Australia. Iram’s recent research projects have included leading on the:  Evaluation of the Foundation Phase across Wales and she is  a principal investigator of the major DfE 17 -year study on Effective Pre-school, Primary and Secondary Education (EPPSE 3-16, 1997-2014) and of the influential Researching Effective Pedagogy in the Early Years project (REPEY). She is currently specialist adviser to the House of Commons Select Committee on early education and has undertaken reviews of the Foundation Phase for the Welsh Govt. and of the workforce for the Scottish Govt.
