Andy Griffith at Outstanding Trainer Awards
Andy is a consultant to the BBC on Citizenship and Inclusion, the lead writer for Comic Relief on education, and has been a member of the QCA writing team for Citizenship. He has a number of publications behind him including Equal Opportunities (Framework Press); Citizens of the Future (Folens), Citizens in Action (Heinemann) and classroom materials for Comic Relief and Sports Relief.
Andy is especially proud of the company he has set up in Merseyside called ‘Motivated and Loving It’ – “these courses run by myself and my four colleagues all aim to raise the confidence of young people. The courses, although fun-based, are challenging and thought-provoking. We use all sorts of ways in especially sport and the media to get young people to really get themselves in shape – both mentally and physically!”
Testimonials
“Well structured – progressive, enjoyable, analytical – good resources and activities, very visual, auditory and kinaesthetic”
“Fantastic! Very inspirational. I wasn’t bored once – thank you – have learnt lots and now have new ideas I want to try with my class”
“I’ve really enjoyed this course and it’s helped me to remember how fun teaching can be. It’s so easy to get stuck in a rut and this course has dragged me out of it, giving me the tools to be more creative, imaginative and inventive.”
