Kathy is an experienced teacher adviser who has worked in a wide range of local authorities across England, in both maintained and VIP sectors, and she specialises in providing training and in house consultancy for all aspects of Early Years education.

Alongside her consultancy and training work, Kathy has written several Early Years books and has had a number of articles printed in national educational magazines.  In addition, she writes and edits the Lancashire Early Years Newsletter, ‘Firm Foundations’.

Part of Kathy’s work is to provide assistance for schools in challenging circumstances and she has been involved in the revision of the Lancashire Agreed Syllabus for RE.

Kathy’s particular interest in Early Years is the importance of brain based research and attachment theory in relation to our work with young children.
