Case study – St John Bosco Arts College, Liverpool

Before their Outstanding Teaching intervention, St John Bosco’s head teacher,
Anne Pontifex, described the observation culture as “-1 out of 10″. Now, not only
are staff fully committed to the Outstanding vision, students are seeing their grades
go up. The number achieving 5 A*-C GCSEs more than doubled in just a few
years and is continuing to rise.
