Jaz’s Useful Literacy Links

There are some fabulous people sharing ideas out there! Check out these links. Jaz.
Skillswise - great info on all grammar and quizzes

Coxhoe Primary School – lots of online activities

Interactive Whiteboard Project - East riding Smart Board activities

The National Literacy Strategy ICT in the Literacy Hour CD-ROM - from the DfES shows some good examples of its use in Primary schools. The CD-ROM is free from dfes@prolog.uk.com

Bookbox - really superb site (not a download I’m afraid) supporting Literacy. Video clips of authors discussing and explaining how to write a story. Really short snapshot of how Susan Price opens a story to ‘hook’ her reader for example. Once at the above URL click on writers toolkit.

www.juniorszone.com - offers 80 free KS2 Literacy & Numeracy on-line tutorials plus a Phonics information directory

Another useful site is “Save our Sundays” with planning for Literacy and Numeracy. It is to be found at http://www.hamilton-trust.org.uk/
