Exclusive! Professor John Hattie to return to Scotland

2

What better news to start the week than the fact that Professor John Hattie will be back in Scotland on 7th November. We had a fantastic day with him last year (all 400 delegates!) and we can’t wait for his return visit. Details will be available soon but in the meantime why not check out the tweets from last year on storify  or watch Ken Muir of GTC Scotland chatting with Professor Hattie.

Last year the conference sold out in record time so if you don’t want to miss out this time round please get in touch to note your interest.  Drop me an email and I will be in touch soon with more information – sphilp@osiriseducational.co.uk

Meet the author:

Sarah Philp, Osiris Director of Learning, Scotland

Until recently, Sarah worked as Principal Education Psychologist at Midlothian Council, leading the development of Visible Learning across Early Years, Primary and Secondary settings.

As well as having played a key role working with Education Leadership at authority level to align the systems and processes with the key principles of Visible Learning, Sarah also developed teacher expertise and understanding of the approach.

This focus on learning and progress for all pupils alongside the focus on teacher professional learning has attracted recent attention from Times Education Supplement (Scotland) and the GTCS (the General Teaching Council for Scotland).
