James Arthur

James is one of the UK’s leading experts on character education. He is the Director of the Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues and the Editor of the British Journal of Educational Studies. In his role at the Jubilee Centre he focusses on researching character, virtues and values in the interest of human flourishing.

He has written widely on the relationship between theory and practice in education, particularly the links between communitarianism, social virtues, citizenship, religion and education.
