Michaela is one of the UK’s most successful Headteachers; she has a wealth of experience, having taught key stages 1, 2 and 3 during her career. She has also worked for the Nicholas Chamberlaine Trust, Canon Maggs Middle School, then Junior School and at Hob Lane First School. Michaela qualified as a headteacher in 2005 and took up her first headship in 2009. She returned to Canon Maggs Junior as headteacher in September 2012 and has led the school through a rapid period of significant improvement. The school has moved from the Ofsted grading of Inadequate to Outstanding within 17 months. Ofsted have judged the leadership at Canon Maggs as outstanding.
