Description

This years focus

In summer 2020, the 17 Early Learning Goals (ELGs) are changing. All Reception teachers in England will be expected to summarise each child’s development against these ELGs and complete the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile.

It has been widely reported that these measures are aimed at boosting early language skills and closing the ‘word gap’ between disadvantaged children and their peers. This conference will review findings from schools that have piloted the revised ELGs and will share best practice with delegates, inspiring practitioners to energise early learners.

Key take-aways

  • New ways to spark children’s engagement
  • Proven ways to help boys and the disadvantaged with communication
  • Confidence and skills for teachers to assess the revised Early Learning Goals in summer 2020
  • Ideas to create a vocabulary-rich learning environment

Nearly 2,000 Early Years practitioners nationwide have benefited from this popular conference. Running for the eighth consecutive year, this event promises to deliver sessions on up-to-the-minute topics by world-class speakers.
